How does the application process work if I am an international student? Do all consulting firms sponsor visas?

The larger firms (like MBB) and a few others that have global immigration teams will help you with the visa application process once you have an offer in hand.

If for some reason the visa doesn’t come through, they will not revoke your offer but you might be asked to start in another office for a year or so and then transfer in.

For these firms who do sponsor visas they try not to take this into consideration when reviewing your application since they have teams in place to help, so it won’t hurt you to apply if you are an international candidate. Several firms do not sponsor visas though, so it is important to check so that you aren’t wasting your time before applying.
