What's the most common mistake you see during case interview prep? And what's the best you've seen?

One of the most common mistakes we see is how people practice. Many people go through their case prep without being thoughtful about their strengths and weaknesses.

Another common mistake we see is candidates getting inside their heads too much. A lot of people think it’s a mysterious, complex thing that very few people can learn, when in fact, it is absolutely something you can learn and master.

Not too different from how you would practice for the GMAT, or even learn to play golf. It’s just a question of practice and of building that muscle.

On the other hand, one of the best qualities of folks we work with is when they are super receptive to feedback and have confidence that despite being far from the bar, know that with practice they will get there.
